Hi,

I am Ryan, currently a student studying my final year in School of the Arts Singapore. Me and my schoolmates are currently initiating a site-specific open call, in which we can get theatre performances and visual arts installations to be showcased at Waterloo Centre, using its empty or unused spaces as platforms for aspiring artists. Through the use of unconventional public domains, we want to create an environment of inclusivity, engaging the public with art, which we feel is very inaccessible and restrictive in a gallery space or theatre. We hope to invite the public to participate in this open call, proposing performances or artworks that recognize Waterloo Centre's physical spaces, history and shops situated within the area. I hope you will be willingly to collaborate with us on this project and make this a reality, engaging with the centre's history and community, especially since it is situated in the heart of the art hub. Thank you!

Best regards,
Ryan
